Privacy Notice

In order to comply with new laws on data protection (GDPR), I need to let my clients know about the information that I hold on you.
For the purpose of fulfilling my contract to provide craniosacral therapy, I need to hold certain information about you, including the name, contact details, and relevant medical and life history, as agreed by you.
Please be assured that this information is completely confidential and is used by me in order to give you treatment and to review progress with you or to contact you about appointments. It will not be used for any other purpose.
I am required by my professional Code of Ethics (from the UK Craniosacral Therapy Association (CSTA) and by my insurance provider to keep the information for a specific length of time (currently 7 years after the last visit for most adults, and up to 21 plus 7 years for most children; 15 years rather than 7 for adults or children who lack ‘capacity’).
I take the security of this personal information seriously and therefore I keep my written notes in a locked cabinet.
You have the right to see or suggest corrections to information that I hold about you, and to complain if you are unhappy with the way I hold information about you – to either myself, to the CSTA or, if you are still unhappy, to the ICO.
I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the information I hold about you.
